If I don’t drop music in a year Africa will notice something’s missing – Rema boasts


Nigerian music act, Divine Ikubor better known as Rema, has said that he’s made such a huge mark in music that if he can’t afford to go a year without releasing a song.

Speaking during a recent interview, Rema said he has distinguished himself with a unique sound that only he can produce and has been noted for.

Rema boasted that such a void caused by his absence is because of the bold statement his sound has made in the industry.

He said; “I’ve distinguished myself. If I don’t drop music for a year, it will be obvious in Africa that something is missing. That’s how bold a statement my sound has made.”

The young Nigerian singer just recently had his sold-out Raves & Roses show in Los Angeles, California.

Selena Gomez attended the concert which saw Rema meet fans’ expectations as it turned out to be a huge success.

However, one of the highlights of the night was when the Hollywood actress hugged and kissed the ‘Calm Down’ crooner backstage.

Rema shared a video of the sights and sounds from his show while declaring love for Selena in the caption.

Also, in attendance was Grammynominated rapper, 6lack who came to show support to his Nigerian counterpart. Rema made sure to also thank 6lack for being there for him.
