FG declares Monday June 12 public holiday

Monday, June 12, has been declared a public holiday by the federal government.
On Thursday, a declaration from the Permanent Secretary’s office at the Ministry of Interior confirmed this. According to the transfer by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Oluwatoyin Akinlade, the getaway is in remembrance of this year’s Democracy Day party.


Dr Akinlade while making the resolution on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulated all Nigerians on this occasion. ” Nigeria’s democratic journey has, like in many other climes, encountered both stormy and smooth sails, but the ship of State, its institutions and most importantly, the Nigerian people have remained steadfast on the tenets of democratic governance


Thus, on this special occasion, Nigerians and friends of Nigeria are invited to recognize the advancements made, commemorate the achievements achieved, and hope for a better future for the nation’s democracy.
But she argued that the Nigerian people have remained steadfast on the principles of democratic governance, as have the ship of State, its institutions, and most significantly.
